The short version: Every SmarterContext plan starts with a 7-day free trial — cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. After your trial converts, you have a full 30-day money-back guarantee. Email [email protected] and we will refund you, no questions asked. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

1. Free Trial
All SmarterContext subscription plans include a 7-day free trial:
- You get full access to all features of your selected plan during the trial
- Your payment method is authorized but not charged during the trial period
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged — ever
- If you do not cancel, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan at the end of 7 days and your payment method will be charged
Free trials are limited to one per person. We reserve the right to determine trial eligibility.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If your trial converts to a paid subscription and you are not satisfied, you are eligible for a full refund if all of the following are true:
- Your refund request is submitted within 30 calendar days of your first paid charge
- This is your first subscription purchase for this account (the guarantee does not apply to renewals or resubscriptions)
- Your account has not been terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
We mean it: If you are not happy within 30 days, email us and we will refund you. No hoops, no forms, no questions.
3. What Is Not Eligible
- Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after the first paid charge
- Subscription renewal charges (month 2 and beyond)
- Partial refunds for unused days or portions of a billing period after the 30-day window
- Accounts terminated for cause (Terms of Service violations)
- Requests that appear to abuse the refund policy (e.g., repeat subscriptions and refunds)
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include the email address on your SmarterContext account and the approximate date of your first charge.
- We will confirm receipt within 1–2 business days and verify eligibility.
- If approved, we will process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been issued. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds may take additional time to appear on your statement.
5. Cancellation vs. Refund
Canceling your subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions:
- Cancellation stops future charges. You retain access through the end of the paid billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining days unless you are within the 30-day guarantee window.
- Refund returns the charge to your original payment method. Requesting a refund will also cancel your subscription immediately and revoke access.
To cancel without requesting a refund, use your account settings or email [email protected].
6. Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days from approval. The timeline for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution:
- Credit and debit cards: typically 5–10 business days after processing
- Some issuers may take up to 15 business days
We have no control over your bank's processing time once we initiate the refund via Stripe.
7. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Filing a chargeback for a charge that is legitimately eligible for our refund policy may result in immediate account suspension and may complicate resolution.
If you believe a charge was made in error or you did not authorize it, please email [email protected] immediately. We will investigate and resolve genuine errors promptly.
