Give it examples, not adjectives |

DO THIS: 'Write 5 subject lines in the style of these two that worked for me:
– "The pricing mistake that cost us 40 customers"
– "I killed our best-performing ad. Here's why."
Same voice: specific, a little contrarian, no emojis. Topic: our new onboarding flow.' |
▸ Why it works
Vague instructions get vague results. 'Make it professional', 'more engaging', 'punchier' — the AI has to guess what you mean, and it guesses generically. The fix is to show the shape: paste one or two examples of the exact output you want (a subject line you loved, a paragraph in the right tone, a summary in the right format). The AI matches patterns, so a concrete sample is worth a page of description. Give it the target, not the adjective. |
▸ Level it up
Just starting: Whenever you ask for something specific, paste one example of what 'good' looks like. Don't describe it — show it.
Regular user: Give one good example AND one bad one ('not like this'): the contrast tells the AI exactly where the line is.
Power user: Keep a small swipe file of your best examples by type (subject lines, summaries, replies) and paste the relevant two whenever you need that output.
